Project SINBIO (Sustainable Innovation in Bioenergy) presents unique project in bioenergy sector in Slovakia. The main mision of the project is to ensure sustainable heat production from local renewable sources (biomass) and support local economy of backward regions.

Project SINBIO is being realized in 4 regions of Central and Eastern Slovakia within the cooperation of 9 project partners (6 slovakian and 3 norwegian). So far it is the biggest project suppported from Norwegian grants in Slovakia (www.eeagrants.sk, www.eeagrants.org, www.norway.sk).

Project was supported within the programme Green Innovations in Industry. Total amount of  the awarded grant for the project presents 4 940 994 EUR. Contract  was signed by the recipient of grant, company Intech Slovakia, s.r.o. and Government office of Slovak Republic as a administrator of Norwegian grants in Slovakia.
